The Centro Dramático Nacional has selected, by means of a public call, the four playwrights for the fourth edition of its Drama Residences that will collaborate continuously with #Dramático during the current season to create a new theatrical text.
During the writing process, our resident playwrights will actively participate in various activities at #Dramático, including leading and participating in workshops, collaborating with other national and international theatres, participating in opinion forums such as the DRAMÁTICA journal, and in on-stage discussions with the artistic teams of the season’s programme.
The residents will meet regularly as a stable working group to share ideas and discuss developments in the writing process. Residents will be supervised by Dramático’s directing team and advisory board and, as part of the process, will attend a work-in-progress session to discuss their work to date.
The following institutions collaborate in the Drama Residences: AC/E (Acción Cultural Española), Academia de Cine, AECID, Goethe Institut, Gorki Theater, Instituto Cervantes, Institut Français de Madrid, Istituto Italiano di Cultura de Madrid, La Chartreuse, Centre Nacional des écritures du spectacle, Münchner Kammerspiele, Real Academia de España en Roma and Royal Court Theatre.
