An old puppeteer waits at a train station without knowing why she is there. Her puppets in a suitcase will be the only clue to find out who she is and what her destiny is. This is the love story of an old woman who bravely, humorously and tenderly defies the limits of her memory to be reunited with the love of her life.
Life is like a train journey where we all get off at the same station, Paradise.
The public’s opinion: “Everything is simple, yet complex at the same time, endearing, yet distant, familiar and strange, realistic and fantastic… and we could go on describing these coincidences of opposites that the work sets in perfect harmony: birth and death, laughter and weeping, speechlessness and eloquence, solitude and companionship, the outside and interior worlds, present and past, travel and stillness… Unmissable.”

La maquiné is the artistic name of Joaquín Casanova & Elisa Ramos, both visual artists.
They joined forces in 2008 to create their own works with plastic and musical content for the stage. To date, they have performed nine creative stage shows with a musical repertoire for young audiences. In their creations, visual, gestural and musical languages stand out as the main driving force.

View more They have explored physical, gestural and visual theatre through music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

They create shows with a contemporary outlook that reflect their personal artistic stamp, producing all the artistic-visual aspects that make up the work themselves, including the design and construction of sets, masks, scenic sculpture, animated audiovisuals and lighting. Their creations, described by experts as poetic-visual works, aim to provide viewers of all ages with a wide range of emotions, from humour to tenderness, from absolute fun to dramatic force. Despite being a small production company, large entities have entrusted them with their programming, having co-produced shows with prestigious institutions such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Ópera del Real in Madrid, the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada, the Patronato de la Alhambra, AC/E Acción Cultural Española, the Ministry of Culture, the Junta de Andalucía, the Instituto Cervantes and La Caixa, among others.
In September 2020 they produced the script and artistic direction for the MAX Performing Arts Awards Gala organised by SGAE at the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga.
