About the show

Three people, or rather, four:

LUCIA is severely depressed, so she lives vicariously through YOLDI, a wonderful young woman with intellectual disabilities.

YOLDI takes care of the plants of JOSÉ MANUEL, a prestigious psychotherapist who, due to cerebral palsy, is completely dependent. She only talks to her psychiatrist about a very intimate relationship she has with ALEXA, an artificial intelligence.

MARTINA, a psychiatrist, a bit misanthropic, can’t take it anymore. She can’t deal with life. She can’t help her daughter Lucia. Will she throw in the towel? Maybe.

Of course, none of the three, sorry, four, knows anything about what’s happening to the others, or about their delusions and secrets; but one thing is certain: the best thing that’s happened to them in this life has been to know one another and for their paths to cross.

Director’s note

¿Sabes que las flores de plástico nunca han vivido, verdad?
If the answer is yes, that’s not so bad!

We discuss the different kinds of loneliness, the different disabilities, the masks we wear to keep living, mental illnesses, heartbreak, old age, suicide, depression, and the courage to live in a body that doesn’t move, but with a mind that never stops. And psychological therapies, lies, traumas and caring for plants, whether plastic or not, deep relationships with Artificial Intelligence… and a few other things.
But we’re doing so through comedy. Through very tragic comedy at times, so tragic that there is no other choice but to laugh.

It’s a comedy of tangles and lies, in order to talk about life’s problems and the ways out.
