DRAMÁTICA magazine comes out every six months, and seeks to broaden the range of themes treated in the performing arts, opening up the theatrical discourse to other fields of knowledge such as philosophy, architecture, science and art. The aim is to open a forum of thought – from and towards the stage – anchored in the present of our ever-changing reality.

The Covid-19 pandemic came out of nowhere, stopped us in our tracks, and forced us to reinvent ourselves. And in this exercise of the imagination, when faced with what may be a paradigm shift on every level, the arts – and the stage – have much to say. Since its beginnings, the stage has radiated and gathered thought, from the creative to the reflexive, and this compendium of texts aims to be the foundation stone of a discursive building we must all create together. Presence and absence, tradition and modernity, body and screen, ethics and aesthetics, globality and the return to the source… these are the themes we have been struck by, the questions through which we can approach the most intangible aspects of our present.
